A very warm welcome to our new online magazine for IoD members in Hertfordshire. It is sometime since our last edition and our new magazine has been designed to keep you informed with on the most up-to-date IoD news from Hertfordshire and also nationwide. This means everything IoD that will be useful in your everyday activities to general business information and advice.
The Herts IoD Committee has planned an assortment of events for 2012. The monthly breakfasts have been rebranded as Hert Talk and will be themed around a different business topic every month. There will be an industry expert to help facilitate the discussion and there will be time for networking.
The next Herty Breakfast at Sopwell House will be on Friday 10 February when Kate Hull Rodgers of HumourUs Ltd will be our Speaker. Kate will speak on how humour in the workplace impacts on stress levels, staff retention, training budget, well-being and relationships with team members and customers.

The highight for 2012 will be the Question Time Dinner on 22 March. The panel includes Graeme Leach - Chief Economist at IoD, Julian Daly - Leader of St Albans Council - watch this space for the other two names.
