Herts Invited to Join Local Enterprise Partnership Steering Group

Roger Talbot, Hertfordshire IoD Committee Member and Pictons Managing Partner, has been invited to become a member of the Government’s latest business initiative in the region. He will be working on the South East Midlands Local Enterprise Partnership proposal which will aim to encourage growth and development throughout the country and incorporates Hertfordshire and South Bedfordshire in its remit.   The LEP steering group includes key business people and local government executives from the region.

The steering group will effectively decide how the LEP will be constituted, what its terms of reference will be and how its board will be made up. Roger has been involved in a number of organizations promoting business growth, including a position as director and company secretary of the Bedfordshire and Luton Economic Development Partnership Limited (BLEDP).

Roger says “I am delighted to have been invited to join the South East Midlands LEP steering group. We are all aware of the challenges we face in both the public and private sectors and the formation of the business-sector-led LEP is a truly exciting development. The steering group aims to establish an organization which will materially assist substantial growth and employment across the region.”
